Training Status of DSACS

Delhi though low prevalence State; but is highly vulnerable State due to reasons of heavy influx of migratory populations for better economic prospects, large number of truckers, MSWs, street children, CSWs and drug users is highly vulnerable. It is therefore of paramount importance for DSACS to update the knowledge of their staff directly engaged in the implementation of the programme on regular basis and the implementing agencies like MCD, NDMC, DHS, Armed Force Transfusion Centre and NGOs are collaborating in this regards. Achievements made are as under

  1. No. of persons trained till 2005 = 14,000
  2. No. of persons trained in 2006 = 810
  3. Three out of five medical colleges (AIIMS, LNJP and UCMS) have conducted training programme for their staff in collaboration with DSACS.
  4. Two other medical Colleges/hospitals (Safdarjung and LHMC) nominated their doctors to attend the traiing or deputed their faculty to teach.
  5. Implementing agencies like MCD, NDMC , DHS, AFTC and NGOS are also collaborating in the training programme
