Financial Assistance Scheme for People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA)/Children Living with HIV/AIDS (CLHA), Orphan/Destitute Children Infected with HIV/AIDS (OCI) and Orphan Children Affected by HIV/AIDS (OCA)

This Delhi Government scheme was started w.e.f. 1st April 2012  for poor PLHA/CLHA of Delhi on regular treatment from ART Centres in Delhi. The objectives of the Financial Assistance Scheme are :

  • To increase access, improves adherence and treatment outcome of Anti Retroviral Treatment : The assistance is provided for sharing the transportation cost to access Anti Retroviral Treatment. This will help to achieve> 95% drug adherence and prevent emergence of drug resistance and need for costly second line treatment.
  • To improve nutritional status and physical capacity of the person to earn livelihood.
  • To help Orphan children in accessing anti retro viral treatment, treatment of other infections that they are at risk, nutritional support, education and skill building.

  • Residence of Delhi for last 3 years
  • Annual family income should not exceed Rs. 1.0 lakh
  • Should be on regular antiretroviral treatment for at least last 1 year at any of 11 Govt. ART centre in Delhi
