Financial Assistance Scheme for People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA)/Children Living with HIV/AIDS (CLHA), Orphan/Destitute Children Infected with HIV/AIDS (OCI) and Orphan Children Affected by HIV/AIDS (OCA)
This Delhi Government scheme was started w.e.f. 1st April 2012 for poor PLHA/CLHA of Delhi on regular treatment from ART Centres in Delhi. The objectives of the Financial Assistance Scheme are :
- To increase access, improves adherence and treatment outcome of Anti Retroviral Treatment : The assistance is provided for sharing the transportation cost to access Anti Retroviral Treatment. This will help to achieve> 95% drug adherence and prevent emergence of drug resistance and need for costly second line treatment.
- To improve nutritional status and physical capacity of the person to earn livelihood.

To help Orphan children in accessing anti retro viral treatment, treatment of other infections that they are at risk, nutritional support, education and skill building.
